What this site collects

hev mind is a one-person consulting practice run by Adam Hevenor (Colorado, USA). This page says plainly what hevmind.com collects, why, and how to stop it. If something here is unclear or wrong, tell me and I will fix it.

The short version

• Analytics only. Nothing is sold, and nothing goes to advertisers.
• No session recording, no heatmaps, no cross-site tracking.
• In the EEA, UK and Switzerland nothing is stored on your device and no analytics load until you accept. Decline and the script never runs.
• There is no newsletter list and no marketing automation.

Analytics

I use PostHog to count pageviews and see which writing people actually read. When analytics are active, PostHog records the page you viewed, the referring site, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and your browser and device type. It stores an identifier in your browser so a repeat visit is not counted as a new person.

PostHog is hosted in the United States, so this data leaves the EEA. My lawful basis is consent where consent is required, and legitimate interest in understanding which writing is worth doing where it is not.

Booking a call

The booking links go to Cal.com, which collects whatever you type into it. If analytics are running when you click, the link carries your PostHog identifier so I can tell which post led to the conversation. That is the only place the two are joined.

Client workspaces

Pages under /clients/ are for people I am already working with and are not public. They are covered by the engagement agreement rather than this page.

Retention

Analytics events are kept for as long as PostHog's retention on my plan allows, currently seven years, and I delete nothing selectively because events are not tied to named people. Email you send me lives in my inbox until I clear it out.

What I do not do

No advertising pixels, no data brokers, no selling or renting anything, no profiling that produces a decision about you, and no attempt to identify anonymous readers. Server access logs sit with Cloudflare under their own terms.

Turning it off

If you saw the cookie banner, your choice is remembered in your browser; clear site data for hevmind.com to be asked again. Outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland the banner does not appear, and you can still opt out with your browser's Do Not Track or a content blocker — PostHog is blocked by all the common ones. Either way, declining costs you nothing on this site.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or UK you can ask for access, correction, deletion, or a copy of anything I hold, and you can complain to your data protection authority. In practice I hold almost nothing tied to a person, so the honest answer to most requests will be that there is nothing to return. Ask anyway if you want to check.
